Beaton Drug Neon Resurfaces Briefly

What can I say, I wish this great mechanical neon was still on the Paxton Hotel building! It goes to auction on April 13.

  1. I remember seeing this sign as a kid, and liking it. Downtown was fun to visit in the late 60s and early 70s–Beaton Drugs, Kresge dime store, and of course Brandeis. My wife is the great-granddaughter of Brandeis architect John Latenser.
